This week, Amer and Dunham took their gear train exam and passed! They are now moving onto the escapement lesson.

This week Daniel, David and Miguel started their lesson on pivot gauges! They learned how to turn it down on the between centers lathe, trim it down with a degussit stone and finally burnish it on the jacot tool.

This week, Harold joined Amer and Dunham for their gear train theory discussion and started filing his screwdrivers and tweezers to begin working on movements.

Nice work on the pivot gauge! I bought a set several years ago and some were damaged, so I had to re-turn them. I found it a challenge and even bent them a couple of times with my micrometer! (I'm often my own worst enemy!) Thanks for sharing!
