Guess what we were doing in the school ?

Its some sort of a chemistry experiment. 

From some time ago …

We have been busy at the school with exams and practical tests. Anyway, these are more pictures of our visit to Schaublin last year. We took alot of pictures on that trip. 

Very cool Loupe system

Saw this online awhile back. Pretty neat and very presentable. However, its not cheap. Anyway, they claim they have the giants of watchmaking like Mr Dufour using their loupes. Check out their website.

The best part is, you don't need to be a professional or a DSLR to use this. Just pop it onto your iPhone and fire away. Plus points for the convenience. 

New records.

Another article on the internet recording high levels of sale. What shall we take away from this ? I think one sentence was particularly interesting " Only watches between 200 and 500 francs (export price) stood out from the rest, as in previous months. " Thats only good news for watchmakers. It means there will be a deluge of repairs and encasing jobs but is the industry able to keep up with After-sales service ? There aren't enough watchmakers being trained. Thats a fact.

School reopens
