Mid week sneaks


The boys have started their milling lessons on the F1.


Kevin is adjusting the milling head. Notice the plastic containers below the F1. Its the coolant oil for steel milling.


We have a new extractor fan in the heating room. All thanks to the Ulysse Nardin Foundation for generously sponsoring this.


Its a pretty cool unit. It also has an in-built carbon filter.


Very futuristic looking.

Mirroring.


While we emphasize that our fullskill course is more hands-on, there is some theory. Here is an example of what students refer to when they need to make a tool.



For example, this is a tool made by Horia which students must replicate.


Students need to make a technical drawing of the tool.



And this drawing must be complete with measurements.

The special watch ...

Watch Tour !


So, we received the WatchTour watch from our swiss friend down the road and we had it for a while. Our new students had just came in and we had alot to do. However, we didn't neglect the spirit of the Watchtour watch. It did take us some time to decide what we wanted to do with it and this is the result of Henrik's creativity. Superluminova on the automatic rotor. 


This is what the rotor looks like in daylight. We used our Aciera F1 mill to mill out a recess in the rotor. Then we fill it in with Superluminova.
