STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS

Workshop B

Students:
    Dean, Faris, Ivan, Louis, Tetsu, Varun

    This week, Ivan, Louis and Varun learned how to use the Jig Borer.

Drilling the initial hole for the polishing tripod

Boring open the hole to 10mm

    This week Louis finished his pointed nose hand vice.

The inside surface of the hand vice is finished with charbonage.

     

    This week Ivan finished his graver support.

    This week Varun finished his poising plate.



GUEST STARRING

Workshop A

Students:
    Amer, Dunham, Daniel, David, Harold, Miguel 

    This week Harold completed the chronograph section. The learning included how to do work on the adjustment points to meet the standards and trouble shooting common problems. The new section included how to work with the main spring barrel. Will complete the new section and move onto the next soon.

    This week Amer and Dunny learned how to vibrate hairsprings using the hairspring vibrating tool and poising the balance.

This week Miguel made a replacement screw for the ring light of his microscope.

    This week Daniel finished making a hairspring collet tool and a stud holder.

 COMING UP NEXT...

 

This Saturday we will attend Geneva Watch days! We are hoping to have a chance to see the presentations of each brand and to ask them about their new releases.

Next week we will also be having another bench test!
